Chatham Transitional Ministry (CTM) is among the most significant ministries taking place in our community today. The problem of recidivism, the revolving door at the jailhouse, has plagued the judicial system for decades. CTM addresses the two components at the heart of the problem: the spiritual and the vocational. Through Bible studies, church attendance, and social activities, the spiritual is tackled head on. Through unmatched job placement efforts, unparalleled vocational success has been achieved. Recidivism rates have plunged as a result of this ministry, to the benefit of the individuals involved and the Savannah community as a whole. I wholeheartedly urge the generous support of CTM.

My heart is completely full of gratitude as a result of what you and the Chatham Transitional Ministries have done for me will all of your compassion, your patience, and the shear level of loving kindness that you've all enveloped me with in my time of need! You guys have deeply impacted my life in the best way imaginable and for that I'm grateful.

Years ago, I read a book titled More God, Less Crime. In a review of all recidivism studies in the United States, the author concluded that recidivism rates only drop when inmates are exposed to regular Christian programming while in jail, followed by at least two years of transition wherein Biblical instruction and employment are provided. This book became the origin of what is now Chatham Transitional Ministries. I can say with certainty there is no other program like it. As you can see, former inmates take control of their lives and participate in their families, jobs, and communities as contributors and leaders. I have been overwhelmed by God’s grace and power by, in, and through the victory Christ has to offer to all.
